Scientific studies (see below) prove that when people (i.e., both children* and adults**) listen to melodies repeatedly, it encodes in the brain not only relative pitch information, but absolute pitch information as well. Think back to how you learned letters and their sounds in Kindergarten...'A' is for 'Apple.' Well, Pitch Paths uses this same idea to develop absolute pitch-and it actually works! It works because melodies establish a concrete emotional and experiential connection with each pitch, which previously just floated around in 'abstract land.'
